The ANU China Liaison Office (CLO), established in 2017, forms a key component of the University's international efforts in enhancing the ANU-China dialogue in research, exchange and collaboration. Since early 2023, CLO has also operated a dedicated Shanghai Desk, with a focus on serving the Yangtze River region.

The Office secures strong relationships in China into the future across multiple partnerships, student and alumni relations and industry engagement. ANU holds deep and multi-faceted relationships and partnerships in China.

CLO plays a crucial role in facilitating the university¡¯s collaborations with local high schools, universities institutions and educational organisations across Mainland China, promoting the ANU brand, fostering university-enterprise partnerships, activities for current students and alumni, supporting Chinese and Australian higher education policy initiatives and runs internship program.

As ANU¡¯s official presence in China, CLO actively operates five official social media platforms in China. These platforms provide the latest news from the university and comprehensive information resources.

The Australian ¾«¶«´«Ã½app University (ANU) is the Group of Eight's most international university according to the Times Higher Education International Outlook Indicator. Further, graduates from the ANU have been rated as Australia's most employable graduates and among the most sought after by employers worldwide (Times Higher Education Global Employability Rankings 2023-25). ANU is a member of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) as well as the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU). ANU is proud to welcome many students from China to its campus in Canberra.
