Stay connected. Lead locally. Make an impact.
No matter where life has taken you, you are part of the ANU story. The Global Alumni Volunteer Program offers a flexible way to stay engaged, give back, and help shape a brighter future for alumni and students.
What is a Global Alumni Volunteer
Global Alumni Volunteers are alumni who help connect others in their region or area of interest. You might organise a small gathering, share your story, mentor a student, or help promote local alumni activities. It is a flexible role that fits around your life, and support is available whenever you need it.
When several alumni in the same area or with similar interests begin working together, they may form an Alumni Network with help from the University.
Ways to get involved
Depending on your interests and availability, you might choose to:
- Host a local meet-up such as a coffee catch-up, gallery visit or cultural celebration
- Share your story or expertise through an interview, article or Q&A
- Support other alumni by helping to coordinate online or in-person activities
- Become a digital advocate and help amplify alumni news in your region
- Get involved in local community initiatives or volunteering
- Contribute to professional development events, including panels, workshops or networking sessions
Why get involved?
The ANU Global Alumni Volunteer Program offers alumni a unique opportunity to reconnect with one another and with the University. By being involved, you help strengthen the alumni community across borders and showcase values of leadership and service. Alumni can organise meet-ups, mentor students and share expertise to help build a compassionate, globally connected future.
