Alastair Holberton is a business leader and entrepreneur who established Namibian Minerals Corporation (NAMCO), an offshore diamond exploration company, in 1990. NAMCO listed on NASDAQ and invested more than US$100 million in southern Africa.

He also established the retail foreign exchange business Interchange in 1990. Interchange now operates in 14 countries, with more than 1,000 outlets providing foreign currency exchange, transfer and dispensing services.

In 2000, Mr Holberton was recognised by the President of Namibia for his contribution to the country’s socio-economic development.
