Sanva Saephan

Dr Sanva Saephan is a senior professional staff member currently serving as Acting Business  Manager at the Pacific Security College within the Crawford School of Public Policy. In this role, he supports strategic operations, governance and regional engagement across the Pacific.

Sanva holds a PhD in Education from the University of Melbourne, a Master of Public Administration from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Economics from Singapore Management University. His academic training reflects a strong interdisciplinary foundation across education, public policy and economics.

Earlier in his career, Sanva worked in banking and finance in Singapore. He later worked as a consultant with international organisations including the United Nations, the European Union and the World Bank on governance reform, education policy and institutional capacity building in Laos. 

As a professional staff member at ANU, Sanva understands the essential role professional staff play in enabling teaching, research and engagement across the University. If elected to the ANU Council, he will work to ensure the perspectives and contributions of professional staff are clearly represented in governance discussions.
