The Remuneration Committee is a Committee of Council. It determines the remuneration and conditions of employment of the Vice-Chancellor; monitors, reviews, and where appropriate, makes recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor on the remuneration and conditions of employment of the University's Executive; exercises such other functions, powers and authority as may be assigned or delegated to it by the Council; and may in an emergency, exercise the power of the Council to appoint an Acting Vice-Chancellor. The Committee operates under a charter, as approved by the Council.
